The soul of our Wine Bar is made up of the different profiles and experiences of its initiators, (Iberian and Meats, Hospitality and Export), combined with a top-level kitchen team, to which is added the complicity and support of our most trusted suppliers and friendly wineries.

Our head chef, Javier Saenz de Urturi, begins his journey at the Michelin-starred restaurant Mirador de Ulia, where he develops competencies such as teamwork, sacrifice, and discipline.

After a year of learning, he seeks to broaden horizons and get to know the hotel industry through the hotel chain The Ritz-Carlton, on the island of Tenerife. Here, he becomes part of two major culinary families, the Kabuki group and Martin Berasategui group for three years. He returns to Donostia-San Sebastián with the strength and enthusiasm that lead him to be at the helm of El Almacén Wine Bar’s kitchen, with a high-quality gastronomic offering and his personal contribution of creativity and freshness.
